The Genovia Elle Fashion Etcetera Blog: March 2012

I must first take this time out to thank everyone who participated in this special feature of my blog!!! Secondly, I want to talk about the motivation behind #SoYouGotStyle. We all have our own sense of style, and personal flavor that we add to what we wear everyday. What you wear is an extension of your personality (i.e., your personal style). Prior to starting my blog in January of last year, I was what you called a “blog surfer.” While I would surf through various blog sites, there were times when I found it hard to relate to what I was reading and the people I saw in these blogs. I either did not know them personally or I would think “I love that dress that Beyonce has on but too bad I can’t afford it.” I then began to wonder how many people think and feel the way I do, and how much of an impact it could make if people were better able to relate to the people they read about or saw in these blogs. Many of my blog viewers and followers tell me that they find my fashion blog to be inspirational. I wonder how much more someone could be inspired if there was this relationship component added. I, therefore, wanted to highlight the various styles of fashion and beauty that we see today in the streets. What better way than with the help of you!? Thus, it is my hope that my blog viewers and followers can identify with the people they see in this particular blog feature and find inspiration through their various styles.
